| En 1967, ouverture de la Galerie
Daniel Gervis avec pour première exposition la présentation de quarante sculptures de
Louise Nevelson. Depuis presque trente ans, la Galerie Daniel Gervis a organisé, tant en France qu' à l' étranger, de très nombreuses expositions présentant des oeuvres de grands maîtres du XXème siècle tels que Picasso, Miro, Nevelson, Dubuffet, Hartung, Torres-Garcia, Paul Klee, aussi bien que d'autres artistes contemporains dont elle assure la promotion : Benrath, Blomstedt, Constant, Debré, Donaldson, Etérovic, Fièvre, Kausch, Mansouroff, Malaval, Montyn, Bengt Olson, Marta Pan, Jean Ruiter, Sonderborg, Toledo, Zechner. En 1983, la galerie s' installe au 14, rue de Grenelle ; fermée au regard des passants cette galerie ne ressemble à aucune autre : "Ce n'est pas un lieu où l' on passe, mais un lieu où l' on vient". |
Opening of the Daniel Gervis Gallery
in 1967. Its first exhibition was dedicated to the presentation of fourty Louise Nevelson'
s sculptures. For the last 30 years, the Daniel Gervis Gallery organised both in France and abroad quite a lot of exhibitions showing works of big masters of the XXth century such as Picasso, Miro, Nevelson, Dubuffet, Hartung, Torres-Garcia, Paul Klee, as well as other contemporary artists promoted by the gallery : Benrath, Blomstedt, Constant, Debré, Donaldson, Etérovic, Fièvre, Kausch, Mansouroff, Malaval, Montyn, Bengt Olson, Marta Pan, Jean Ruiter, Sonderborg, Toledo, Zechner. In 1983 the gallery moves to the 14, rue de Grenelle in Paris. The inside of the gallery is unique in its kind : it cannot be seen by the passer-by. This a place to be visited with a specific goal. |
